Father's Day

The power of the hand-written word is an incredible thing.  You can easily buy that new iPad your father wants, or maybe the traditional tie that he's used to receiving.  Then of course there's the wallet you are positive he needs a new one of.   These things can't truly, completely let your father know how much he means to you.  The written word expresses how you feel about him in a depth that material things cannot begin to achieve.  A hand-written card sends the message that you spent hours making sure that every word was chosen carefully.  And trust me when I say that this alone speaks volumes in today's fast-paced world where every second counts!

Miami Pen Show Update

Well everyone, the Miami Pen Show is only three weeks away and we are looking forward to all the excitement the show brings! It's gonna be so great that we've even got Bill Weakley to join us and tell jokes all weekend! Postcards will be mailed this week to over 3,000 folks. The newspaper and radio advertising is incredible! Deborah Basil is flying down to Miami to hold calligraphy classes during the show both days. The response has been overwhelming for tables - I even had to upgrade the room because the first one we had was too small!! This means I still have a few tables left, so don't wait to sign up for yours! Field Notes pads and pencils

Well I finally got them! All 3 styles of note books and the truly perfect pencils! The note books come in a pack of 3. Dementions are 3-1/2"x 5-1/2" and are available in blank, Grid and lined. The blank FN are perfect for drawing, sketching or just playing around. The grid books come in handy for auto logs, gas, gallons purchased, oil chnges things like that. I use the lined for everyday note taking and a business to to list.
Now the pencils. If you have kids in school these days you'll understand my frustration when I complain about the junk composit pencils these days. You cant sharpen them, the lead, or what ever is in them always breaks, even the erasers are no good. The Field Notes pencil is made from a Cal-Cedar wood casing it's laquer free so you can hold it without  the pencil slipping through your fingers. Next a Recyclable aluminum Ferrule. An Enviro-Green Degradable Eraser and Certified  Non-Toxic Imprint Inks.

Bertram's Inkwell 25th ann. weeklong celebration

Bertram's Inkwell week long 25th anniversary celebration begins June 21 and ends on Saturday the 25th with a MontBlanc Trunk show offering some of the most beautiful pens MontBlanc has ever offered. Some of the pens shown have never even been sold in stores other then the MontBlanc boutiques . Light refreshments will be offered as the collection is dispalyed.

Miami pen show 2010

It's only 6 short weeks away. We have booked seminars with Roger Cromwell of Penoply and Susan Wirth for both Saurday and Sunday. Deb. Basil Callipraphy class will run Saturday and Suanday as well. Adds for the show will be published in the Miami Herald to generate traffic through-out the weekend.
